Spring Update

I'm solar powered. Spring has brought a few more sunny days and my spirit wakes up and I enjoy life more, and get much more done on sunny days than on dreary, overcast ones. Today I took some photos of the yard to show how Spring is progressing here in our little spot of Iowa.

The sweet smelling wild violets are blooming.

My planter box is cleared, the Naked Ladies are growing, along with the Sweet Williams at the left, pansies at the right, and one Echinacea.

The flowering pear is blooming (too bad it is so stinky!).

Last year we removed the competing maple tree, and this lilac is doing splendidly.

I'll have glorious lilacs for Mother's Day.
