Rozy the Rifleman

Yep, that's me shooting Mr. Movie's Rifle. I'm not really left handed, just blind in my right eye so I had to shoot as a lefty. Getting old sucks. Still, we had a great time at our 5th annual family reunion.

They're All Over the Place

The fledglings are out and so adorable.

I followed this one down the sidewalk covered with fallen Mulberries. . . 

. . . to the grass in front. He wouldn't let me get very close but was sure cute.

Actually, Peter was accompanied by one of his sisters, but she was camera shy and ran off before I could snap the photo.

Spring Update

I'm solar powered. Spring has brought a few more sunny days and my spirit wakes up and I enjoy life more, and get much more done on sunny days than on dreary, overcast ones. Today I took some photos of the yard to show how Spring is progressing here in our little spot of Iowa.

The sweet smelling wild violets are blooming.

My planter box is cleared, the Naked Ladies are growing, along with the Sweet Williams at the left, pansies at the right, and one Echinacea.

The flowering pear is blooming (too bad it is so stinky!).

Last year we removed the competing maple tree, and this lilac is doing splendidly.

I'll have glorious lilacs for Mother's Day.

Mr.Movie got a new merino wool sweater from Lands' End to wear to church.

TopDad got a cashmere blend top coat--Isn't he distinguished!

Dandylion is excited about the gift from Mr. Movie.
