They're All Over the Place

The fledglings are out and so adorable.

I followed this one down the sidewalk covered with fallen Mulberries. . .

. . . to the grass in front. He wouldn't let me get very close but was sure cute.

Peter Rabbit

Actually, Peter was accompanied by one of his sisters, but she was camera shy and ran off before I could snap the photo.

Spring Update

I'm solar powered. Spring has brought a few more sunny days and my spirit wakes up and I enjoy life more, and get much more done on sunny days than on dreary, overcast ones. Today I took some photos of the yard to show how Spring is progressing here in our little spot of Iowa.

The sweet smelling wild violets are blooming.

My planter box is cleared, the Naked Ladies are growing, along with the Sweet Williams at the left, pansies at the right, and one Echinacea.

The flowering pear is blooming (too bad it is so stinky!).

Tulips coming up in front of 510.

Hostas and tulips around the century old maple tree.

Last year we removed the competing maple tree, and this lilac is doing splendidly.

I'll have glorious lilacs for Mother's Day.

Spring is busting out all over . . .

Lilac shrubs

Little blue flowers underneath Lilacs

Like pieces of sky fallen to earth

My cat - Timothy

Who was a scruffy muffin kitty, but has grown into a . . .

handsome cat!

Noble's cat - Calico

Who has a short attention span and trouble staying still! See why she's named Calico?

Also, Cali is diligent about her grooming!

Surprise!

I opened the door early in the morning last week to put mail in the box and this was the scene that greeted me:

Getting up early is often rewarded with something beautiful, like a moonset.

We Really Do Celebrate Christmas at Our Home

Someday I'll have a nicer camera and learn to be a better photographer. Until then, my apologies.

The stockings are stuffed and ready for morning.

The presents are under the tree.

Mr.Movie got a new merino wool sweater from Lands' End to wear to church.

TopDad got a cashmere blend top coat--Isn't he distinguished!

Dandylion is excited about the gift from Mr. Movie.

They won't sit still long enough for me to get a good picture!
